During the course of the franchise, Erika Jayne stressed that perhaps it was a good idea for Crystal to use laxatives in order to combat her weight loss. Not only that, but Erika had allegedly also told the star not to eat some chicken that was on offer.
While it could be argued that Erika was coming from a good place, the fact of the matter is that Crystal did not take these comments too well. And she let everybody know in no uncertain terms how this had impacted her.
In an interview with Daily Beast, she said: “I felt embarrassed. Like suddenly the show didn’t exist, and I just felt embarrassed. There’s a feeling of embarrassment being on the show, the idea of being filmed.
“And then, you know, I got made fun of, as a child, for being chubby. That’s how it felt.” But Erika was not the only housewife who had been accused of doing such a thing. It is also alleged that Kyle Richards happened to have asked questions by wanting to know if Crystal had ever “thrown up.”
Even if one would argue that people only wanted the best for Crystal, seeing her dirty laundry being aired in front of the cameras is the last thing that she would have wanted. This is especially true since those comments were hardly going to make her feel any better.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I said to them, this is starting to feel a little too graphic for me.” The fans on social media were equally not impressed by the conduct of the housewives.
