Erika Jayne has been left feeling uneasy amid the legal lawsuit that has been filed against her following the star’s divorce from her ex-husband Tom Girardi.

The star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been accused of using her divorce as a sham in order to hide and funnel her assets. It has been alleged that money was embezzled from the families of victims, who had died in a plane crash, before being injected into Erika’s companies.
And with the evidence continuing to mount against her, she could no longer keep herself together. During an episode of the show, Erika broke down in tears when discussing it with fellow star Kyle Richards. She was heard saying: “My divorce is not a sham…Nobody wants to be in the position I’m in right now.
Being the possible target of a federal criminal investigation is like, not cool… It’s lonely, and it’s quiet, and you would be shocked by how quickly people turn on you.” Despite the hardship she has been going through, she does have the support of some housewives. For a start, Kyle has vowed to stay by her side until the conclusion of the investigation.
After all, Erika is innocent until proven guilty. And until the courts rule otherwise, she should be allowed to declare her innocence. Not only that, but two other housewives have also backed her up. Garcelle Beauvais stated: “Maybe Tom did these things, but I don’t think Erika knew about them. One thing I do know is that husbands can have secrets that wives don’t know about.”
In addition, Lisa Rinna remarked: “We’re here for you Erika. We know who you are.” Nevertheless, not everyone has been so receptive. A substantial section of the fanbase and Erika’s friends have deserted her at a time when she needed them most.
That has left her feeling down. Her following comments confirmed as much: “[It is shocking] how quickly people distance themselves from you. Automatically, they turn because they don’t want to be involved. They were there when it was good, though.” Time will tell how things all play out.
