Rapper T.I Reacts To Being Booed At His Comedy Gig-‘Adversity Is Just What I DO’

T.I is certainly a well-respected artist, albeit within the field of rap music. But this time around, he decided to take a stab at comedy at the April Fools Comedy Jam, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. In the process of doing so, he decided to team up with none other than comedian Lauren Knight.

Despite his high hopes for the event, things did not turn out very well. In the video here, we can see that the star is going through his routine. In the background, a chorus of boos can be heard throughout the stadium.

But he did not let that get him down. In fact, the rapper decided to embrace all the criticism so that he could use it as a way to come back stronger. In a post to his fans on Instagram, T.I said: “Embracing every part of the process..We don’t fold we FIGHT‼️ Fall or fly til the bitter end.

“New York I Love You & Thank You for one of my favorite moments in my comedic career. Adversity is just what I DO. Shit get easy and i get bored so… this aughta keep my mind at work & motivated.”

It is not clear if T. I will decide to have another go at comedy, but on reflection, this was not a surprise for the following reasons. First of all, his name is hardly synonymous with the comedy profession. Therefore, it would have taken something special for him to have brought huge laughter from the audience.

Secondly, in any event, he was up against some very stiff competition. Some of the other comedians that were on show included Nick Cannon and Eddie Griffin. The response from the fans on social media was damning.

People wanted to see the back of T.I and felt that he should simply do music. One person wrote: “Stick to what you do best everything ain’t for everybody just a lil game I thought you was missing.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
