Most of the high-ranking members of the Royal Family attended the Christmas celebration at Sandringham, which is the first such occasion since Queen Elizabeth II passed away.

Princess Anne Missed Christmas Day Service Due To Reports Of A Cold

The one exception was the Queen’s only daughter, Princess Anne, who was conspicuously absent. Every year, the Christmas morning service at St Mary Magdalene Church situated in the Norfolk estate has been a long-standing custom for the Royal Family.

The Princess had to skip the family gathering and was probably taking some much-deserved rest, as per reports that she is dealing with a cold. After all, it was reported that the 72-year-old had been designated the most industrious Royal of 2022 after it was revealed that she had completed 214 engagements since the start of the calendar year.

Observants of the Royal Family also took note of her lack of presence at another family event – the Christmas carol service hosted by Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

It is thought that the service, which occurred on December 15th, was in conflict with something else Anne had scheduled. She had been planning to attend the London International Horse Show at the ExCel on that day and was thus not able to be present at Westminster Abbey.

The response on social media was mixed. While supporters of the firm wished Anne well with the hope of a speedy recovery, others began to troll her on the basis of her life of privilege. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal indeed.

One person wrote: “Poor woman, too Ill to wave at a few peasants. Hope she gets well soon, those trees won’t plant themselves,” while another person stated: “The Princess Royal has our best wishes at this time of the year, to get well soon.”

The sooner Anne recovers, then the better it will be for the firm. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
