The Duke of Cambridge was speaking at a visit to Bafta’s headquarters in London when the subject came up. “They’re fascinated by it [gaming],” he said. “George particularly. He’s more interested in it. The other two are a bit too small at the moment but they love the films. I adore film and gaming as well.”
BAFTA President William – who was joined on the visit by BAFTA-winning actress Suranne Jones – said of his own children: “At the moment it’s trying to regulate the gaming… monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that.
The Prince William Bafta Bursary for films, games, and television professionals aims to further enhance Bafta’s support for these talented individuals, the charity has said.
William toured the building and chatted to Doctor Foster star Suranne Jones who mentors rising stars for Bafta. The duke also met young creatives helped by another scheme that bore his name, the Prince William Scholarship, and asked them: “Is it working well for you? I can have a word with the boss, the real boss.” Gotta love his royal sense of humor, right?
