When it comes to the royals, it really seems like they live with manta, “do as I say, but not as I do.” Prince William is definitely feeling the heat as the Duke of Cambridge is being blasted for being a climate change hypocrite.
He wants Britons to “reset” themselves for the climate, which he and his family drive Range Rovers and frequently take private jets. Here’s what you need to know.
In a special video message broadcast at the Conservation International Gala in the U.S., Prince William suggests that the next decade will be one of our greatest tests if we don’t act now. He is calling for humanity to “reset our relationship with nature and our trajectory as a species” in a bid to avoid a climate disaster.
Prince William Blasted For Being A Climate Change Hypocrite
He said the most vulnerable people around the world “and those who have done the least to cause climate change” would be the worst hit.
“All of us, across all sectors of society, and in every corner of the globe, must come together to fundamentally reset our relationship with nature and our trajectory as a species,” William said.
“I truly believe that humans have an extraordinary capacity to set goals and strive to achieve them. The remarkable development of the COVID-19 vaccine in record time is a case in point.”
Yet, a lot of royal critics are not having it as they believe that Prince William likes to talk, but doesn’t walk the walk himself.
A lot of royal critics blasted William on social media by writing, “Prince William wants to reset the trajectory banning petrol cars and stopping foreign travel. So it’s OK for them to drive around in Range Rovers, Rolls Royces, and take private flights. Let’s all tip our hats when we ride by the rich in their cars, on our bikes.”
Another user replied: “Out of date and out of touch. His dad just flew to Greece in a pandemic to lay a wreath. Time for reform.”
So far Prince William has not responded to any of the criticism.
