British Royal Family News suggests that Prince William and Kate Middleton are apparently in no hurry to get back to work again when it comes to their royal engagements and public appearances. As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that says the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge do not have anything planned in their calendar for this summer even though other royals will be keeping rather busy with their work. Here’s what you need to know.
It’s no secret that Prince William and Kate Middleton have often been called the most work-shy couple of the monarchy, seeing how they consistently lag behind the other senior royals when it comes to their workload and number of royal engagements completed each year. While there have been some reports of Kate feeling ‘exhausted’ behind the scenes, truth be told the Duchess hasn’t worked any more this year than she has in years past.

And it looks like the Duke and Duchess are feeling quite comfortable working from behind a screen more than anything else. According to the royal experts over at The Daily Mail, “Despite plans for a further easing of lockdown in the UK next week, with the reopening of non-essential retailers, FEMAIL understands there is currently no set plan in place for the British royal family to step out publicly any time soon. The younger households, including that of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, are reportedly looking at how physical engagements can be done in the future. These will be in-line with government guidance and with a care to not put a strain on resources.”
Meanwhile, many European and queens have resumed physical engagements since the easing of the lockdown in their respective countries. With that said, Buckingham Palace has made no indication as to how long the British monarchy will remains indoors and inside their castles.
