During a live Q&A session, Prince Harry insisted that he was not seeking sympathy and did not see himself as a victim.

In a promotional video discussion for his autobiography, Spare, Harry shared that he was scared of forgetting his mum and that he attended counseling sessions to manage his past trauma. Harry expressed regret for not having started counseling earlier and remarked that it was like he had discovered a new tongue once he began attending the sessions regularly.

In his comments, he said: “I certainly don’t see myself as a victim. And I have never looked for sympathy in this, for me. It’s for me experiences that I’ve had throughout my childhood, throughout my life.”

He continued by expressing that once he started recognizing the distress and living a genuine life he became aware that he was getting more far off from the Royal Family. While that may have been the case, he admitted that he did use cocaine, which by all accounts, did not go down very well.

His following comments confirmed as much: “I don’t think that did anything for me. It was more of a social thing, and I guess trying to get a sense of belonging, for sure. I think it also probably made me feel different to the way that I was feeling.”

The social media response was damning. Large numbers of people made it clear that the Duke was coming across as a victim given that he continued to be very vocal about his grievances about the firm. One person wrote: “Why does he reveal so much so publicly? Diagnosis: Attention-seeking Disorder combined with Pity Me Syndrome.”

As long as Harry continues to reveal things, the more he appears to alienate the public. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
