Prince Harry Claims His Father King Charles III Didn't Have Money To Support Meghan Markle

In his new book, “Spare,” Prince Harry states that his father, King Charles III, revealed to him that the Royal Family did not have enough funds to provide financial support to his wife Meghan Markle.

Furthermore, Harry declared that Charles commented that he was already paying a great deal to support him, as well as his elder brother Prince William and William’s wife, Kate Middleton. In his comments, Harry said: “Pa didn’t financially support Willy and me, and our families, out of any largesse.

“That was his job. That was the whole deal.” Harry mentioned that he and his elder brother remained within the royal court and received financial aid in return. Then, the Prince who created the Invictus Games asserted that he noticed that Charles, 74, wasn’t specifically interested in the money but rather jealous of Meghan’s expanding fame.

He remarked that Charles had already gone through the same situation when he said “I do” to his first spouse – the now-deceased Princess Diana. Harry’s following comments confirmed as much: “Pa might have dreaded the rising cost of maintaining us.

“But what he really couldn’t stomach was someone new dominating the monarchy, grabbing the limelight, someone shiny and new coming in and overshadowing him.” The social media response was very scathing towards the Sussexes.

A certain subset of people were of the view that the firm had every right to have a budget in place to cater for the best interests of the monarch, which is why they backed any restrictions on spending.

One person wrote: “The truth? Charles was likely not refusing to finance the couple, but to cut back on financing Markle’s lavish designer taste – which is not a good look for a charitable institution.” It is fair to say that Harry is not on the best of terms when it comes to his father.
