A recent survey has shown that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity has plummeted after South Park broadcasted an episode about them, following their Netflix docuseries and Harry’s book.
Harry And Meghan’s Popularity Has Decreased Following New Poll-‘The Whole World Is Done With Them’
According to a survey done for Newsweek by Redfield and Wilton, Harry’s popularity rating dropped from -7 percent in January to -10 percent on February 19th, 2023. Harry has seen his approval rating drop substantially since early December, when he had a rating of 38 percent.
Meghan’s ratings have also significantly gone down, starting at -13 percent in January and going to -17 percent in February. In contrast, the support for the Royal Family has increased.
King Charles III’s approval rating increased by 4 percent to 11 percent. It had initially been reduced following Harry’s memoir, as well as the fact that the monarch had been subjected to two egg-throwing incidents. In addition, Queen Consort Camilla’s rating has moved from -8 to 23 percent.Â
And this would seem to suggest that the public is now turning against Harry and Meghan after having become tired over their repeated grievances about the firm.
Richard Palmer, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “I do think it does show that liberal America is turning against them and is fed up with their moaning really, I suppose to put it bluntly.” The social media response was equally damning.
A certain subset of people were of the view that the couple had burnt their bridges and that there had been too much damage done. One person wrote: “Sorry but the whole world is done with them.”
The couple will be hoping that the public perception changes soon in light of reports that they could attend King Charles III’s Coronation. After all, they were booed when they exited St Paul’s Cathedral during the Platinum Jubilee. And this is something they will want to avoid.
