Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent return to see Queen Elizabeth II is the perfect opportunity for the couple to heal relations with the Royal family.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Attendance At The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Would ‘Be A Show Of Unity’
That is according to Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. The couple’s visit was very significant, given that it was the first time they returned to the UK together after their exit from the Royal family in 2020.
And with Harry’s tell-all memoir set to be released this year, it raises the possibility that Harry will not go after his family so openly like he did with his Oprah Winfrey interview. Not only that, but the visit also gives the pair an opportunity to return for the following reasons.
First of all, they did not get to see Prince William and Kate Middleton. The latter duo were absent, as they were on a skiing holiday. Therefore, it would make sense for them to repair relations with them too.
Secondly, with Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee set to take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022, there is every reason now for Harry and Meghan to make an appearance. And it is at this historic occasion, where the Queen would be celebrating her 70th year in charge, that Richard feels the couple could repair things.
In a statement, he said: “It will be a show of unity…It’s a good sign that there was a meeting between them and the Queen. It is the start of what is a very deep rift being healed.” The response on social media was much the same.
People felt it was inevitable that Harry and Meghan would be able to resolve things, given how long the feud had gone on for. One person wrote: “This made me so happy. The UK have been awful to them.”
Time will tell if this does end up materializing. We will have to see how it plays out. So there you have it folks. What did you think about all of this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
