Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to donate via their Archwell Foundation to aid the people of Ukraine.

A large number of Ukrainians have become refugees by virtue of fleeing to neighboring countries. While the international community has come together in order to offer some much-needed assistance, the harsh reality is that there needs to be more done.

As a result, the couple have donated to various organisations some of which include ‘The HALO Trust.’ This organisation was also something that Princess Diana was very keen on working with.

And in keeping with that spirit of giving back, the couple praised the volunteers of the organisation, who by all accounts, are already providing some help in Ukraine. In a video call between the duo and the volunteers, the couple said: “You guys are saving lives every single day.

“Thank you for being so brave and being so amazing and well done. Keep doing what you’re doing, keep saving lives.” Not only is this news significant for providing help, but it also backs up the words that Meghan and Harry made about Ukraine at the NAACP awards.

They were initially criticised for just name-dropping the country in their acceptance speech after receiving an award for public service. But now that they have backed their words with some much-needed action, that criticism will surely die down.

In a statement at the time, they had said: “We would like to acknowledge the people of Ukraine, who urgently need our continued support as a global community.” The response on social media was very positive.

People were delighted that they finally took some proactive action rather than simply coming out with empty words. One person wrote: “They continue to live their lives while contributing to all they can despite the unwarranted evil vitriol thrown at them.”

It is stories like this that the couple need to sway public opinion in favour of them. And as long as they continue to give back, then the background noise surrounding their lives will surely die down. So there you have it folks.
