According to royal expert Dr Ed Owens, during King Charles III’s Coronation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have limited influence and will only play a minor role.
Harry And Meghan Will Have A Minor Role At The Coronation-‘Meghan Will Have No Control,’ Says Dr Ed Owens
Brown suggests that the Coronation will be planned with extreme caution to ensure that there are no unpleasant surprises during the event. Although it has not been confirmed whether the Duke and Duchess will be present, even if they do travel to England, their participation in the ceremony is expected to be minimal.
In his comments, Brown said: “Harry and Meghan will have no control over how this event plays out, the Royal Household will have complete control over this event. The rehearsal schedule will be extremely intense.”
It is alleged that Buckingham Palace will have full authority over the entire day, including the media coverage, as they have meticulously planned every single moment. A representative for Harry and Meghan verified that they were invited to the Coronation; however, they stated that the decision regarding their attendance would not be revealed immediately.
This is understandable in light of the following. In a number of interviews, including their Netflix documentary and Harry’s memoir, Harry and Meghan made serious accusations and criticisms against the Royal Family and the way the Palace functions.
Despite this, Harry has expressed his willingness to have a dialogue with his Royal Family members and resolve their issues. In some comments at the time, he remarked: “There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open.
“The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it.” Time will tell if the Sussexes do end up attending, and if they do, will they be able to upstage the event?
