British Royal Family News tell us that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed the real reasons as to why they decided to walk away from the Royal family. Unsurprisingly, life got a bit too complicated for the couple during their time in the Royal family.

British Royal Family News: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Wanted To Avoid Being Unhappy

In an interview with CBS, Harry hinted that he wanted to avoid going into a state of unhappiness, just as his late mother had done so. He said: “My biggest concern was history repeating itself. For me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you, with my wife by my side, because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other.”

This would make sense given that Harry and Meghan have received continual media intrusion since their marriage. Harry has been open about his mental health, while Meghan had been subjected to abuse on social media which led the couple to avoid Instagram. During a recent interview with James Corden, on The Late Late Show, Harry explained how his mental health had suffered, which forced him to leave the Royals.

He revealed: “It was never walking away. It was stepping back rather than stepping down. It was a really difficult environment as I think a lot of people saw. We all know what the British press can be like. It was destroying my mental health. I did what any husband and what any father would do, which is [say], ‘I need to get my family out of here,’ but we never walked away. As far as I’m concerned, whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never walk away.”

Nevertheless, the Royals did not take Harry and Meghans’ departure too well. Although they have left the door open for a possible return, it does not look very likely. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Royally Us podcast: “We know they’re unhappy. I totally accept that. I’d like to see a more balanced approach. The language used [and] to appear to lecture the Queen … that sort of statement is very unhelpful, but what it showed is how angry they are.”
