People have cautioned Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to refrain from continuing their negative remarks about the firm.
Harry And Meghan Warned Against Attacking The Firm-‘They Risk Looking Like Reality TV Personalities’
Edward Coram-James, an expert in reputation management, has expressed his opinion that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will suffer negative consequences both professionally and personally if they continue to speak about the firm in the manner they have done.
He has cautioned that if the Sussexes continue to reveal royal secrets and bring up more issues, they may be perceived as “reality television personalities,” which could damage their reputation further.
In his comments, he said: “Reputationally, both professionally as well as personally, they will now wish to stop making any attacks on the Royal Family.
“From a professional point of view, it will not serve them. They risk looking like reality television personalities that rely on gossip and scandal to remain relevant.”
According to recent polls conducted in both the UK and the US, it appears that the popularity of Meghan and Harry has declined among people in both countries.
YouGov polls conducted in the past have indicated that the British public’s affinity for the couple began to diminish notably after their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, according to several polls conducted by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek, Americans’ view of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began to decline after the release of their Netflix documentary series, Harry & Meghan, and the book Spare.
The expert recognized that currently the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in a challenging situation where they are divided on how to approach their future and handle their complicated relationship with the Royal Family.
His following comments confirmed as much: “There are a number of avenues ahead of them, all of them rocky but some with bright futures and others, not so bright.
“They have to thread the needle. Their entire brand, down to their last names, is that of being senior royals.”
The response on social media was much the same. Large numbers of people agreed that the attacks against the firm had to stop since the couple had nothing new to offer in that regard.
One person wrote: “I hope so. People are sick of them.” Clearly, the couple need to rebrand as soon as possible. And there is no getting away from that.
