Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been taken off the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Commonwealth Trust website.

Harry And Meghan Removed From Queen Elizabeth II’s Commonwealth Trust Website-‘Good Riddance’

Just two years ago, the duo had been the president and vice president of the organization prior to their departure from the Royal Family in 2020. The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust was established to provide financial assistance, resources, and guidance to young people from the Commonwealth nations in order to assist them in making a positive impact.

Nonetheless, the new website does not provide any information regarding the tasks Harry and Meghan did for the organisation, instead highlighting the Queen’s accomplishments.

The following comments confirmed as much: “Our newly re-designed website is now live.  Thanks to the important work of young leaders across the #Commonwealth, we have amazing stories lined up for you. Please take a moment to check it out and let us know what you think.”

Following the negative feedback towards the Commonwealth in the documentary produced by Harry and Meghan for Netflix, a website update was carried out. During the docuseries the writer Afua Hirsh referred to the Commonwealth as the ‘Empire 2.0.’

Not only that, but she went on to refer to the Duke of Sussex as anti-racist, thereby having a dig at the firm by way of extension. Her following comments confirmed as much: “The Commonwealth is still described as a club of friends who share common values.

“I find that language really problematic. I sometimes call the Commonwealth ‘Empire 2.0’ because that is what it is.” The social media response was clear. Large numbers of people viewed this as another attempt by the firm to distance themselves from the Sussexes.

One person wrote: “Quite right. Excellent stuff. Good riddance.” The Sussexes clearly need to rebrand moving forward, and this is just another sign that it needs to happen as soon as possible. And there is no getting away from that.

So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
