Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hoping to establish their celebrity status in Hollywood by attending the Met Gala, a highly-anticipated event that combines fashion and entertainment.

Harry And Meghan Could Attend The Met Gala-‘Debut This Year For Sure,’ Says Christina Garibaldi

This year on Monday, 1st May, 2023, the Met Gala will occur at the Costume Institute in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. If Meghan and Harry get the go-ahead, it will be a completely new experience for both of them – Meghan who was not invited to the event when she was a star in Suits and Harry who would be the first member of the Royal Family to ever attend the party.

Invitations are distributed by a select group under the leadership of Vogue’s Anna Wintour, with only the most notable celebrities from the entertainment, fashion, and music receiving an invitation.

The ex-Royal couple have gained fame and notoriety with the success of Harry’s autobiography, Spare, and their documentary on Netflix, thus ushering in their celebrated period.

Christine Ross, who happens to be a royal commentator, had this to say: “I would keep an eye out on things like the Met Gala, the big red carpets this year, to see where they are going to find their place in the celebrity minefield,” to which fellow reporter Christina Garibaldi added: “I totally agree with you.

“I think they are going to be making their Met Gala debut this year, for sure.” There has been a lot of conjecture as to whether Harry and Meghan would be asked to attend the coronation, following their disclosure against Prince William, Kate Middleton, and King Charles III.

And given that the gala would be shortly before the coronation, this could be something to keep an eye on, since the Sussexes could upstage the firm. Time will tell how this will all play out.
