Well, this will certainly make for an awkward family reunion. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still invited to King Charles’ coronation in May despite the backlash that the royal family has been getting thanks to the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan.

According to a new report, the Sussexes are still expected at Charles’ coronation in May, no matter what might happen in the next couple of weeks. That said, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not Charles will strip Harry and Meghan from their titles because of all the nasty things that has been said in their Netflix docuseries.

Right now things behind closed doors over at Buckingham Palace are quite chaotic at the moment as they want Charles to release some kind of statement about the damaging allegations that have been made about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex so far.

Back in October, there was a report that suggested Harry was going to be blacklisted from the coronation if he even attempts to say anything bad about Camilla Parker Bowles or any of the other members of the royal family in his upcoming book, Spare. One source close to the situation puts it this way, “Almost everything Charles has done over the past twenty years has, in one way or another, been about getting Camilla accepted by the public.

He loves her. He is incredibly protective of her and he couldn’t do it without her. Even the queen finally accepted that. It is one thing for Harry to attack Charles, he can take it on the chin, but if Harry forces him to choose, by laying into Camilla in his book, I have no doubt he will choose Camilla.”

If that weren’t enough, royal author Katie Nicholl also believes that the Duke of Sussex should play it cool and added that King Charles would certainly want to see his son at his coronation. She said, “There is no doubt that Charles would like Harry and Meghan to be at his coronation.

And to be fair to Charles, he has been magnanimous in terms of extending, very publicly, olive branches to the Sussexes, not only in his televised accession address but also putting them front and center at the funeral events. But he does expect respect in return, and a problem is going to arise if, between now and then, Harry repays him by attacking him, Camilla or the institution. He is not going to put up with inaccurate and unfair attacks.
