British Royal Family News find that it looks like Meghan Markle is getting to do things her way the second time around. There’s a new report that says Prince Harry and Meghan are planning a home birth for their second child.
There were earlier reports suggesting the Duchess of Sussex wanted a home birth for her son Archie back in 2019, but instead ended up giving birth at Portland Hospital outside of London. Here’s what you need to know.
Knowing how much Meghan loves her organic, crunchy lifestyle, there was speculation that she wanted to have a home birth at Frogmore Cottage, which is where she and Prince Harry lived back in 2019 and before the couple pulled the plug on their relationship with the royal family.

But now that they are living in California as independent royals, Harry and Meghan’s second child – a girl – will be the first ever royal born in the U.S. and delivered in the comfort of the Sussex home.
When their son Archie was overdue back in 2019, Meghan was taken to London’s Portland hospital, where she gave birth in the early hours of May 6th of that year.
“Meghan’s plan was to have a home birth with Archie, but you know what they say about the best-laid plans,” a source told us. “In the end, her doctors advised her to go to hospital and all she was interested in was about delivering Archie safely.”
The source added, “But she has a beautiful home in California, it’s a beautiful setting to give birth to her baby girl.”
So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle have made any comments about their birth plans. Their child is due sometime this summer.
