On Thursday, 15th December 2022, the members of the Royal Family were seen together at a Christmas carol concert held at Westminster Abbey.
Prince George And Princess Charlotte Expose Meghan ‘Barefoot’ Markle’s Docuseries Claims
This event arrived amid Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries coming to an end which raised many questions over the way that members of the firm interact with each other.
And as part of that process, Meghan alleged that her first meeting with Kate Middleton was not the best since the Duchess of Sussex was a keen hugger. But when it came to Kate, Meghan admitted that the interaction came across as jarry. And yet, the carol event appeared anything but jarry.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte accompanied their father, Prince William. Kate had gone ahead of them as she was to be the host of the event. The two young royals were seen embracing their family, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.
This friendly greeting of their grandparents was in contrast to Meghan’s comments. In her comments in the docuseries, she said: “I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I was a hugger, always being a hugger.
“I didn’t realise that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside, carried through on the inside. That there is a forward-facing way of being.”
The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A significant proportion of them questioned Meghan’s conduct in light of the fact that meeting Kate barefoot was hardly something that is expected when greeting members of royalty for the first time.
One person wrote: “Invite anyone to dinner , trashy to entertain DINNER in Bare feet !!!! And she knew what she was getting into . She studied them for years.” It is fair to say that Meghan has not forgotten that less than pleasant first encounter.
