British Royal Family News find that there’s a strong possibility that royal fans might never see Prince Charles and his son Prince Harry in the same room ever again.
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped one bombshell after another in their explosive interview with Oprah on Sunday night, there are now reports that say the royal family is beyond livid over some of the things they’ve said and alleged about life behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace.
But perhaps one of the most revealing moments of the interview was when Prince Harry said that his father not only cut him off financially, but also stopped taking his phone calls. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Prince Charles Might Never Speak To Prince Harry Ever Again
In the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s deeply personal interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry said that he felt let down by his father, prince Charles.
After Harry and Meghan revealed that they were looking to step down from their roles as full-time working members of the royal family, Harry said he thought Charles would be more understanding, given how Princess Diana had endured similar treatment by the British press. But that didn’t happen.
Speaking about his father, Harry said: “I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like, (and) Archie’s his grandson.”
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also added that there were conversations over concerns about how dark their son Archie’s skin would be.
While the couple didn’t want to name anyone specific, there’s speculation that the conversations were with a senior member of the royal family like Prince Charles or Harry’s brother, Prince William.
Continuing to talk about Prince Charles, Harry said: “But at the same time – I will always love him – but there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship.
After they first left the UK, Harry said he had “three conversations” with the Queen and two with Prince Charles – “before he stopped taking my calls.”
When Oprah asked why Prince Charles had stopped taking his phone calls, Prince Harry explained, “Because I took matters into my own hands. It was, like, I needed to do this for my family. This is not a surprise to anybody. It’s really sad that it’s got to this point.”
