Prince Charles has reportedly been left shocked by the comments made from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle against the Royal Family.

One such comment that was particularly pertinent related to Meghan’s words in her interview with ‘The Cut.’ During the course of that process, the Duchess of Sussex stated the following: “Harry said to me, ‘I lost my dad in this process.
“It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision.” This was immediately taken to mean that Harry had lost his father, which was then clarified by further a statement issued on behalf of Meghan stating that she was referring to her own father.
And yet, that did not stop the speculation from emerging that Harry was not on good terms with his father. This was especially since sources claim that Charles has given out an olive branch to the couple.
A source close to Charles stated the following: “For two years, there has been a steady stream of really challenging things said about a man who cannot [publicly] defend himself to a couple he obviously loves and misses. That is incredibly difficult on a personal level.”
The main reason why this has been difficult is the manner that it is being played out. It is one thing having disagreements with family, but another thing entirely when it is being aired in the public domain. It was very problematic this time around since Meghan’s revelations coincided with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
The fans on social media were not impressed by the Sussexes. This was on the grounds that their conduct was ultimately having an impact on the monarch, who was not getting any younger. One person wrote: “What horrid people they are. Bullying a 96 year old woman.”
