King Charles III’s Coronation is moving closer, and it seems that Prince Andrew is aiming to be involved in the public sphere once again.

It has been reported that Andrew is collecting approximately $12 million to start a lawsuit against Virginia Giuffre, the individual who has accused him of sexual assault, in an effort to make her take back her claims.

In 2020, a lawsuit was submitted in which Giuffre accused the British prince of taking advantage of her sexually on three separate occasions when she was seventeen. Despite Andrew’s denial of any wrongdoing, he made an out-of-court payment to the American as a result of Buckingham Palace’s demand that the negative press coverage should not interfere with the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

This revelation comes amid Ghislaine Maxwell’s tell-all interview with TALK TV in which she made it clear in no uncertain terms that she was convinced that the photograph showing Andrew with his hand around Virginia’s waist was a fake, that was allegedly taken at her home.

While that may be the case, it seems that the chances of Andrew making a return to the firm in a working capacity have been dismissed. Shannon Felton Spence, who happens to be a royal expert, had this to say: “I have a hard time believing anything about support from the top for Andrew rebuilding his reputation and public life.

“The king and Prince of Wales [Prince William] know how damaging he is, and they made it known even before the queen’s death that they would not tolerate him or entertain any path back to public life.”

The response on social media was much the same. Large numbers of people ruled out the possibility of Andrew being reintegrated back into the firm, much like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. One person wrote: “A comeback? A comeback to what….he and harry are “never gonna be.”
