A royal expert claims that Prince Andrew “positioned himself as a leader” at the Thanksgiving service for King Constantine. He led the royal family into the church, as his body language was, in a word, weird.
Andrew Demonstrated a Leadership Role Over the Royal Family When No One Asked Him To
Prince Andrew smiled inappropriately, positioning himself in front and off to the side to display dominance over the group.
Andrew was said to be “grinning like the Cheshire cat” as he was the most prominent male royal at the service. It seems the royal family is grasping at straws with a couple of their members, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry.
Andrew is a disgraced member of the royal family, yet he was the one who led the group. Queen Elizabeth stripped Andrew of his military roles and was forced to step down as a working royal due to his involvement with known sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew still has his HRH title, but he cannot implement it in any official capacity. Basically, that means that People will no longer call him His Royal Highness.
His relationship with Epstein was called into question when he was accused of sexual assault by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre.
Andrew settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 for an unknown amount. Another woman named Johanna Sjoberg also accused him of assaulting her.
All that said, Andrew was still front and center leading the royals. It has been one crisis after another for the royal family. King Charles’s cancer diagnosis and Kate Middleton’s abdominal surgery have left holes in the monarchy that must be filled.
Prince Andrew Exercised Dominance at the Thanksgiving Service
Prince William was supposed to lead the royals for this service and read a poignant passage from the Bible, but he was mysteriously absent. This left slim pickings for the royals.
Andrew took a leadership role without anyone asking him to do so. It reminded royal fans of what happened at Prince Philip’s funeral in 2022. Charles didn’t want Andrew at the funeral, but Queen Elizabeth wanted him there.
Much to Charles’s dismay, the Duke of York escorted the Queen to the funeral. William was equally frosty over Andrew’s presence.
What was Prince Andrew doing there if Prince Harry was an outcast who didn’t attend the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral?
Questions about Andrew’s appearance at King Constantine’s memorial service have arisen. Andrew looked out of place and all too cheerful as he played the leadership role.
His body language also inferred that his main goal was not to help the family but to position himself as a leader. After all, how many more chances will he have?
Andrew also exercised dominance over the Bishop who presided over the service. He stood extremely close to the clergyman, grabbed his arm, and patted him, suggesting dominance and authority.
Queen Camilla arrived a little later, which meant that Andrew, who is still somehow eighth in line to the throne, took front and center.
As royal family members support the King and the Princess of Wales, perhaps they should also consider taking Andrew out of the line of succession before another embarrassing appearance occurs.
