Polls Finds That British Public Sympathise More With William And Kate Following Harry And Meghan's Docuseries

A study by YouGov for The Times revealed that the Netflix docuseries about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has generated more compassion for Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Polls Finds That The British Public Sympathise More With William And Kate Following Harry And Meghan’s Docuseries

This was evidenced by the 44 percent of survey participants who expressed more sympathy for William and Catherine, in contrast to the 17 percent that sympathised more with Harry and Meghan.

Following the airing of the six-part documentary series produced by Harry and Meghan, in which they spoke of the deterioration of their ties with the Royal Family, a survey was carried out.

A study revealed that close to half of the citizens in the UK think Harry should be deprived of his royal titles after the unveiling of his Netflix documentary. 44% of those polled suggested that Harry should have his title taken away, while 32% disagreed.

According to the survey results, the majority of participants (53%) stated that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not require an apology from the Royal Family, while only 19% believed they did.

The survey results also revealed that 23% of the respondents stated that the six-hour documentary had caused their opinion of Harry and Meghan to become worse, while only 7% said that it made them think better of the two.

Nevertheless, a majority of 51% still felt that the couple should be included in the coronation event planned for next year, while 31% were against the idea. The response on social media was much the same. A certain subset of people were of the view that the docuseries had backfired on the couple by making them look a whole lot worse.

One person wrote: “We didn’t take sides until the Markles joined Netflix now it’s team Kate/William all the way. #neighbours,” while another person stated: “It dawned on me today having watched some highlights of 2022, Harry knew exactly what he’d written and filmed as he walked behind his grandmothers coffin.”

“That’s proper hatred, and the UK is better off without him.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
