A new survey revealed that an overwhelming 95 percent of respondents felt Prince Harry should be removed from the line of succession.

The release of Harry’s book, Spare, sparked a flurry of discussion due to the claims it made against the Royal Family. Moreover, it revived the public dispute related to Harry’s standing in the monarchy.

At the time of his birth, the Duke of Sussex was third in succession to the throne, but now he has been moved to fifth place, being surpassed by his brother Prince William’s children. Three years ago, Harry and Meghan Markle stopped fulfilling their obligations as senior members of the Royal Family.

They then moved to America and were deprived of their royal highness status. This meant they were no longer entitled to receive any benefits associated with that such as a salary and any security that would have otherwise been given. And yet, they still retained their royal titles which allowed the couple in part to secure lucrative projects.

With that being said, the results of the poll were staggering. Out of the 27,880 people who had their say on the matter, a massive 95% (26,444 people) indicated “yes” to the query if Harry should be removed from his post.

Whereas five per cent (1,336 people) said “no” he should retain his place, and 100 people said they did not know. The response on social media was much the same. Large numbers of people made it clear that Harry had simply burned any bridges that he may have had with the firm.

One person wrote: “Remove him. The man is not mentally able to achieve anything and is a danger to Britain.” It is fair to say that Harry has a lot to do if he wants to win the public back.
