According to The Daily Mail, plans are being made by Buckingham Palace for the attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at King Charles III’s Coronation.

Sources have revealed that the organizers responsible for managing the arrangements for the historical event have been directed to incorporate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex into their schedule on Saturday, 6th May 2023.

The couple has not yet confirmed that they have accepted King Charles III’s invitation, which was sent to them via email while they were in California, as per their spokesperson. The Master of the Household’s Department and Lord Chamberlain’s Office officials are expecting the attendance of the Sussexes, which strongly implies that they might appear even though they have been criticizing the monarchy.

A source confirmed the following: “Harry and Meghan are being factored into all of the planning… the cars, the seating plans, dining arrangements, everything. No one knows for certain whether this means they have definitely accepted…The staff are certainly working on the expectation they are coming.”

According to a source from the palace, it was better to make plans and preparations that may not be needed later rather than having to suddenly start working on them later without any prior planning.

In case the duke and duchess decide to travel to the UK, it is probable that they will participate in only a small number of public activities during the three-day celebration weekend. This is understandable since they just so happened to have left Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee early last year.

The response on social media was very vocal in not seeing the couple attend. This was on the grounds that they would most likely upstage the event. One person wrote: “What a huge mistake by King Charles ! He is again putting his own feelings before that of the Nation.”
