Recently, Pink kicked out a concertgoer in San Antonio, Texas, who had a message for her on his cell phone condemning circumcision.
The message read: “Circumcision: Cruel and Harmful. Pink was singing acoustically and stopped dead in her tracks to respond to her disapproving fan.
Pink Kicks Man Out of Her San Antonio Concert
She yelled at him.
“Oh, you’re making a point right now, aren’t you? Do you feel good about yourself? You spent all this money to come here and do that? I’m gonna have to buy a Birkin bag with that type of money. Get that s—t out of here,”
The man had a premium spot right by the front of the stage. He was stupid enough to turn around and share his message with the audience, which was promptly met with lots of booing and yelling.
Pink responded to his gesture, “He wants all of you to read it. He came out here tonight to talk about circumcision. Get it out, get that cancer out of here, man.” Security came and took the man away.
Circumcision is a very touchy subject with Pink, who had her son circumcised and was blasted for doing so. In 2019, a picture of Pink and her kids at the beach was going around on the internet.
In the photo, you could see her young son’s genitals. Pink received a lot of backlash on social media about it, and Pink was shocked.
She called the people “f—ing disgusting.” She said she hadn’t even realized that her son removed his swim diaper. Pink was also slammed for not noticing that her son’s penis was visible in the photo she posted.
She deleted the original post and posted the photo with her son’s genitals blacked out of the picture.
Social Media Users Respond to Pink’s Decision
As for Pink throwing out the man at her concert, social media users also had something to say about that.
One user said,
“I’m just gonna throw this out there: Anyone that thinks circumcision of infants is okay does not believe in body autonomy and should never say things like, “my body, my choice” Neither in terms of circumcision nor other subjects related to one’s body.”
Another user commented,
“F Pink for mutilating her baby boy. She’s a horrible mother.”
Someone else said, “I don’t understand. Does Pink support the genital mutilation of babies, who are, of course, unable to give their consent?”
Another person criticized her, saying,
“He should sue over his First Amendment rights; he paid to see her; she is merely an entertainer. It’s easy to be a tough guy on stage with a mike.”
Other people were more supportive of Pink and her choices. One fan said,
“I just love Pink; she’s a good soul.”
Someone else said,
“I hope all artists do the same thing because a concert is about the music and NOT other people’s causes.”
Pink is a very talented and gifted singer and songwriter. However, she is a mother first and foremost. It’s nobody’s business what the parents feel is right or wrong for their child.
There are numerous religious and health benefits to having your child circumcised.
The idea of circumcising your child is apparently still very controversial.
