Piers Morgan has detailed his struggle in trying to overcome Covid-19 as the pandemic does not look like it will slow down.

Piers Morgan Details His Battle With Covid-19-‘This Experience Has Been Hellish’

The talk show host is known for being very controversial in nature, as shown by his outspoken personality. But this time around, however, it seemed as though he had been silenced by the virus which took a significant toll on his health.

Accordingly, he admitted that he has continued to suffer long-lasting effects, despite having caught the virus sometime last year.

In a post to his fans on Twitter, he said: “Long Covid is a real issue affecting so many people. I’ve still got problems six months after infection, my sister after three months, and some good friends after 18 months.”

Nevertheless, Piers has nobody to blame but himself. This is for the following reasons. First of all, he refuses to comply with the advice that he has been giving to his viewers during his time as host on ‘Good Morning Britain.’

His insistence on wearing masks turned against him when he was pictured in a taxi not wearing one. Although he did hold his hands up, the very fact of the matter is that he received backlash as people suggested that he was being hypocritical.

But for all the criticism coming his way, Piers felt that more work was needed to be done in order to get to the bottom of the pandemic and prevent it. While he did not stress what that should be, he did call for there to be more research into the matter.

He added: “[There] needs more global research to help with unpleasant after-effects [including] loss of senses, bad fatigue etc.”

Luckily for him, Piers has managed to come out of it on the other side. That is not to say that he is fully over the worst of it, but it is enough to not keep him bedridden.

If Piers is really serious about what he says, then he should focus on trying to stick by his own advice. His following comments only go on to reinforce that: “I don’t want to sugarcoat it: this experience has been hellish.”
