According to Pete Davidson, there are more people in this world that need to be just as kind and caring as his friend Bob Saget, who just passed away this past weekend. The “Fuller House” alum was found dead in his hotel room in Orlando after a stand-up routine he did in Jacksonville the night before.
So far the cause of death has not been made public, although local authorities say that no drug use or foul play is suspected.
Pete Davidson Pays Tribute To His Friend Bob Saget – “He Would Check In On Me”
Because Pete Davidson doesn’t have an Instagram account of his own, he took to his friend “Saturday Night Live” writer Dave Sirus’ account to share his statement after Bob Saget’s death.
“He stayed on the phone with my mom for hours trying to help in any way he can – connecting us with doctors and new things we can try,” Davidson continued. “He would check in on me and make sure I was okay.”
“I love you Bob it was an honor to know you,” he concluded. “Thank you for your kindness and friendship. My condolences to the family.”
Meanwhile, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are paid tribute to their “Full House” dad. They said in a statement, “Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” the twin sisters, now 35, said in a statement to People magazine. “We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”
The family of actor and comedian, meanwhile, is remembering the “love and laughter” that he “brought to the world.”
“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today,” the Saget family said in a statement to CNN. “He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.”
“Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world,” they added.
