Pete Davidson was heavily booed on his return to New York City during a basketball game featuring the Louisville Cardinals against the Syracuse University.
According to reports, Pete had been filming a movie entitled ‘Big Time Adolescence’ (2018) in Syracuse. During the course of that process, Pete had spoken about how he did not like the city much.

Although it has been a significant amount of time since he made those comments, the very fact of the matter is that people have not forgotten.
In a statement at the time, Pete had remarked: “Dude, I was shooting this movie out in Syracuse. Syracuse, you know, it’s trash.”
So when he made his return to the area, people were not best pleased. In the video here, we can see that the comedian is wearing a grey hoodie, along with some shades and a mask.
As the camera zooms in on him, we can hear some audible boo sounds in the background. Pete is seen laughing, but it is not clear whether this was in response to the reaction he had received.
Although this might seem harsh, there is no denying that he has not done himself any favours. He had also made further comments looking down upon the city in which he suggested that he did not get the most hospitable treatment.
And this was during the course of a music video that he was filming with Machine Gun Kelly for the rapper’s song ‘Loco.’ In a prior interview with Variety, Pete said: “It sucks. The whole town of Syracuse blows.
“The cops, because there’s nothing going on there, they were hunting me down the whole time.” The response on social media was one of ridicule.
A significant proportion of people simply found that it was funny that Pete would be subjected to this behavior, especially since his comments were made a while ago. One person wrote: “Syracuse don’t play!”
It is safe to say that he is not really going to be welcome in the area, but given by the reaction that he had given in response to the jeers, it does not look like he really cares that much.
