Pamela Anderson divulged in a promotional clip for her forthcoming Netflix documentary, “Pamela, a love story,” that she felt ill when she was recently made to recall the hurt of her 1996 sex tape drama with her former partner Tommy Lee.
Pamela Anderson Recalls Feeling Sick When Her Sex Tape Scandal Was Played Out On Screen
In the trailer, the ex-Playboy model didn’t explain how or why her video recording was brought back to light. In the trailer, Pamela could be heard saying the following: “I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive, and now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick.
“I want to take control of the narrative for the first time.” During Pamela and Lee’s peak of popularity in the 1990s, they were the focus of the first notorious sex tape leak. A video of them engaging in sexual activity was stolen and then distributed by Rand Gauthier.
This then resulted in a series called ‘Pam And Tommy,’ with Rand being played by Seth Rogen. The 2021 television series earned widespread attention for its explicit, salacious material, including one scene with a speaking penis.
An Entertainment Tonight source reported that Pam And Tommy “has been very painful for Pamela Anderson and for anyone that loves her. It is shocking that this series is allowed to happen without her approval.”
The source said Pamela continues to feel violated by the theft of the sex tape and said the show rekindles a very agonising period for her. The fans on social media did not have a lot of sympathy for Pamela. This was on the basis that they felt she was using this narrative for attention. And in the process, the comments were very brutal.
One person wrote: “A young woman spreads her legs expecting sexual enjoyment, social thrill, and notoriety, now 40-50 years later she recreates a new narrative that she was “abused.”
