We know for a fact that Julia Trubkina Gibb wants to be on Dancing with the Stars considering how she’s made it known over IG that she is interested in getting casted on it. However, it seems that she may have somenhope if actually getting on because according to some very reliable sources online influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli is set to be on the next season of the show.
Yes. You heard correctly. That Olivia Jade.
Lori Laughlin‘s daughter. The one that started off by being a famous online influencer on youtube but Lori couldn’t leave well enough alone so she decided to scam a college career for both of her daughters as well. Oh, what a tangled web we weave, Aunt Becky.
Olivia Jade to be on DWTS?
The fandom isn’t having it either. Online there is an incredible amount of backlash, saying that she keeps getting rewarded for her bad behavior and that she isn’t an athlete so she’ll be out the door within the first few episodes. Quite honestly I’ll be amazed if she makes it past the first episode but that’s just my view on it.
People are afraid that this might hurt the franchise but honestly what it might do is encourage a lot of “hate watching”, which is when people watch and root for a cast member to fail. We’ve all done it, even the most woke among us can’t resist a little schadenfruede every now and again. (It is after all what keeps us tuning in to all the 90 day spinoffs.)
As for Olivia Jade she hasn’t really said much about anything, at least not publicly on her instagram. The last picture she posted was 6 days ago at the time of this writing and she was in a green pantsuit with a white pearlescent crop top. All she posted for a caption was an old school emoticon of a tearful smiley so one wonders if she has seen the amount of social media hate that she’s getting for getting casted on DWTS.
The only other thing that might be DWTS related is that she posted a picture of herself in what appears to be black workout clothing but the only caption was a black heart. Olivia Jade is a woman of few words, it seems. (Or perhaps she employs the same people who write Britney Spears‘ captions, who knows?)
So we’ll see how this goes and if she actually owns up to it on social media. Maybe she’s contractually obligated not to say anything until after the actual air date. That could be a thing when it comes to NDAs. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
