Olivia Jade Giannulli has opened up on what life has been like after her parents were involved in a college admissions payments scandal.

A significant amount of time has passed since then, and Olivia has, by all accounts, been doing a lot of reflecting. It seems other people have had it far worse. In a video to her fans on TikTok, she revealed how a conversation with some women made her view the scandal differently. She said: “We were talking about being in the public and being publicly shamed, and I was like, ‘Well, my situation doesn’t even compare, I’m not even going to start to compare it to yours.”

But it was not just the fact that Olivia learnt that all problems were relative. She also picked some life lessons: the main thing being that you should always have hope. With that, the Youtuber has continued to go on strong since. She added: “She [the other women] looked at me, and she said, ‘Olivia, it doesn’t matter if I’m drowning in 60 feet of water and you’re drowning in 30, we’re both still drowning.”

In addition, Olivia gave her views on the so-called cancel culture that has arisen. It continues to dominate the headlines as numerous stars, including Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan, and Rachael Kirkconnell, have experienced what that was like. But the onset of the pandemic has taught Olivia that there are other things that people should get riled by.

She continued: “I think about that quote every day because I think it’s so true, and it’s such a bigger message to our world right now. I think we’re all very quick to judge. I think we’re all very quick to put people down.” And she signed off her video on a positive note by stressing how everyone should have a right to be heard, as long as it did not infringe upon another person: “I just want people to remember, like, if your feelings are hurting, if they’re valid to you, they’re valid.”

Olivia has come of age since the whole scandal broke. But whether it is just words is anyone’s guess.
