Travis Scott is continuing to face the fallout over the tragedy at the Astroworld concert in Houston, which killed a reported ten people and injured many others.

Nike Postpones Travis Scott’s Latest Sneakers

News has just broken that the giant retailer Nike has decided to postpone releasing their new sneaker project that they had collaborated on with Travis.

This is a huge blow, given that it will force many brands to reconsider their working relationship with Travis in light of the fact that he is currently facing many lawsuits.

In an official statement, Nike said: “Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack.”

This is the first of many blows, as other organisations have followed suit. Travis had been working very closely with his foundation in conjunction with Parsons School of Design.

This was designed to offer educational opportunities to those dedicated to the arts. But following this tragedy, Parsons has decided to part ways too.

In a statement, they stated: “Parsons’ partnership with Travis Scott and the Cactus Jack Foundation recently concluded at the end of a one-year agreement.”

Just when you thought that was bad enough, the Astroworld incident has also forced people within the media to act. Accordingly, the people at W magazine were going to release their new issue with Travis and Kylie Jenner on the front of the cover.

Naturally, this is not going to be something that they will want to do, given that it will be disrespecting the family of the deceased. And as a way to counter that, the editors are pulling out all the stops.

A source told Page Six the following: “W editors have cleared any planned coverage of Travis and Kylie from their website, but the magazine was already printed, and now they are trying to stop the delivery trucks.”

It is clear that Travis may face further pushback from the brands that he had previously worked for. Until an investigation has been fully conducted with someone being held responsible, then this is only going to continue to look bad for Travis.
