Following two women’s claims of sexual mistreatment by Nick Carter, the Backstreet Boys singer has taken legal action in response.

Nick Carter Sues His Rape Accusers By Claiming They Exploited The MeToo Movement-‘The Culmination Of An Approximate Five-Year Conspiracy’

He has presented a lawsuit against Shannon Ruth, an autistic woman, who initiated a lawsuit  for an incident of alleged sexual battery which happened in 2001 when she was 17.

In addition to this, Carter is also suing Melissa Schuman, who was the vocalist in the former teen pop group Dream, along with her dad Jerome Schuman, for accusing him of sexual assault. In the counter-lawsuit, Ruth and Schuman are portrayed as “opportunists” and Carter claims that their charges brought about $2,350,000 in harm to Carter and the Backstreet Boys.

Subsequently, the band members were forced to call off beneficial promotional events and sponsorship agreements. And in doing so, it is claimed that Ruth and Schuman used the #MeToo movement to further advance their claims.

The court documents confirmed the following: “Counter-Defendant Shannon Ruth’s lawsuit is the culmination of an approximate five-year conspiracy orchestrated by Counter-Defendants to harass, defame and extort Carter.”

At a public announcement, Ruth asserted that Carter violated her. She was diagnosed with autism and cerebral palsy and stated that Carter had indeed assaulted her. In addition to Ruth’s story, her attorney Mark. J. Boskovich stated that three other women were also included in the court case against Carter.

In some comments at the time,  Boskovich remarked: “Why should Nick Carter be believed with his long history of abusing females? A jury will weigh the evidence and decide. “Nick Carter has a long history of abusing women. Shay is determined to bring Carter to justice.

“She believes it’s worth it to protect other women.” The only thing left to do is let the authorities investigate the matter and come to a conclusion. And that is the most important thing.
