Nick Carter is preparing to defend himself against a sexual battery lawsuit by bringing in additional support.
Nick Carter Allegedly Has 12 Witness To Fight His Sexual Battery Lawsuit
He has stated that he has twelve witnesses who are willing to testify and refute the claims made by his accuser.
Legal documents recently acquired by TMZ reveal that the member of the Backstreet Boys claims to have twelve individuals who have testified that the purported victim’s account of the incident is impossible to be accurate.
TMZ alleged that Nick is facing a lawsuit from Shannon Ruth, who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was underage after a concert in 2001.
According to Nick, there are 12 witnesses who were present at the concert including fans, security personnel, and a talent manager who claim that the accuser’s account is “factually impossible.”
Ruth, who identifies as autistic and has cerebral palsy, suggests she joined the line to obtain Nick’s signature after the performance.
Afterwards, he reportedly asked her to come to his tour bus and served her alcoholic beverages before claiming that he forced her to have oral sex.
Nick claims that his twelve witnesses gave testimony indicating that it was not feasible for him to have communicated with the supposed victim subsequent to the concert.
According to them, there was no queue for autographs, and admirers did not have entry to the zone where the tour bus was parked.
Nick has claimed that Ruth’s assertion of being autistic and having cerebral palsy is being contradicted by one of her close friends, who testified that Ruth is not being truthful about these conditions.
Additionally, the friend does not believe that Ruth was even present at the concert. And as per Nick’s documentation, he asserts that a witness testified about Ruth’s name being mentioned during calls as a part of a scheme to blackmail him.
This alleged extortion attempt is something Nick has already addressed in his countersuit against Ruth. The response on social media was very clear.
Large numbers of people were of the view that whichever side was responsible should be held accountable, as the support was mostly in favor of Nick.
One person wrote: “Hopefully these liars get their just punishment. I will always have your back,” while another person stated: “This liar will hopefully get her just punishment. #istandwithnickcarter.”
