Attorney Claims That Alec Baldwin’s Shooting Incident Has Left ‘Many Unanswered Questions’
That is according to attorney Gloria Allred. Gloria, for her part, will be representing Mamie Mitchell, who happened to be the person that called the police after the gun was shot on the set.
And given that Mamie was very close to the incident, Gloria feels she could have a lot to say on the matter, which sadly killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
In an official statement, Gloria said: “My law firm, Allred, Maroko & Goldberg, and I represent Mamie Mitchell…She was standing very close to Halyna Hutchins and the director, Joel Souza, when both Halyna and Joel were shot.”
Not only was Mamie a very close friend of Halyna, but there are certain things that do not add up. First of all, it is not clear who was responsible for this tragedy.
Although there will have been people in charge of looking after the firearms, a number of people have spoken out against the lack of safety that may have been present post the event.
Secondly, even if it was an accident, why were there guns with ammunition on the set. After all, it was a movie. This is something that Gloria is hoping to uncover.
She added: “We are conducting our own investigation of what happened because there are many unanswered questions. Mamie has been interviewed by the Sheriff’s Department.
“She has information and evidence which she believes will be helpful in this investigation.” This has left Mamie feeling in huge distress. She has to relive the trauma of it all by helping the authorities find out what happened.
This is not going to be an easy thing, but perhaps it is necessary as it will give her that very closure that she needs. In addition, it is hoped that the person who was responsible for creating a dangerous environment can be held to account.
Time will tell how the investigation will play out, but the only thing that people can do is wait patiently for all the evidence to come to light.
