Netflix’s ‘Yasuke’ has an official teaser out and fans are falling in love with it. ‘Yasuke’ is an original Netflix anime coming this month that stars Academy Award Nominee Lakeith Stanfield as a peaceful boatman once known as the Black Samurai!

He will now be thrust back into conflict when he takes a girl with mysterious powers under his wing. Netflix released a teaser yesterday and people are excited about the new series. Take a look at the teaser below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Once enslaved, now a samurai. This April, honor has a new name. A peaceful boatman once known as the Black Samurai is pulled back into conflict when he takes a little girl with mysterious powers under his wing.”

Viewers commented on the clip, “Chadwick (Boseman) was going to play him in a live action movie before he passed.”, “WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT FLYING LOTUS DOING THE SOUNDTRACK?? THATS LITERALLY SO LEGENDARY”, “Great to see Darius’s mind be taking form in this anime”, “This is a true story he serves Nobunaga Oda as a personal guard and when the famous incident at Honnoji temple happened Mistuhide Akechi captured him and released him back to the priest that brought him to Japan.” and “A Castlevania style animated series about the only African samurai in the Sengoku period? I’m in, bring the series.”

This series looks like it has a ton to offer and we anxiously await the release. I’m not typically a big anime fan but this definitely has my attention. I may have to tune in and check this out.

Netflix’s ‘Yasuke’ is set to release later this month, on April 29th.
