Viewers are glad that this story is being shared, and hopefully, a lot of people will learn what happened and hear from the people who knew them best. Plus, the rare footage and interviews add a lot to the story that we have never seen before.
The first comment on the trailer reads, “I remember watching this shuttle launch in my elementary school’s library, on one of those TV carts which were popular back then in US public schools. I remember feeling shocked at the explosion, and my teacher bursting into tears once she understood what had happened. It was the first time I had knowingly witnessed anyone’s death, the first cultural trauma I had really experienced, and I think that’s why it’s fixed in my memory the way it is.”.
Netflix’s ‘Challenger: The Final Flight’ premieres September 16.
