It has been suggested that Netflix are attempting to create a home-based reality show for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following the success of the former’s bestselling book, Spare.
Netflix Reportedly Considering A Harry And Meghan Reality TV Show-‘They Are In Prime Position For A Second Project’
According to the Sun, the executives of the streaming company were reportedly taken aback by the large number of personal and familial revelations in the book as opposed to the more restrained docuseries Harry & Meghan.
This has prompted the executives to become more curious about the production of a reality show that would be filmed from a first-person point of view within the couple’s luxurious $14.7 million estate in Montecito.
A source confirmed the following: “They scored great viewing figures [docuseries] and want a second bite of the pie. The gloves are off now for Harry, and Netflix feels they are in prime position for a second project…So there remains a treasure trove left, which could make for dynamite viewing.”
When the docuseries aired in December 2022, the viewing figures were impressive. Reports showed that the first three episodes were watched by 81.55 million users within the first four days.
The six-part Netflix series was initially believed to have been done in their own home. However, it was made clear that the filming took place in another multi-million mansion.
The fans on social media were not impressed by the prospect of seeing another Harry and Meghan series. This was on the grounds that they were coming across as trying to make money on the back end of revealing royal matters in public. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal.
One person wrote: “This lady ruined him…She took advantage of a innocent young man….family man at that.. She came along. Street smart and a F@#”k up family.” Time will tell how this will all play out moving forward.
