Netflix has done the unthinkable and gotten the Banks family from ‘Father of the Bride’ to return for a very special reunion. Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kieran Culkin, Florence Pugh, Kimberly Willaims-Paisley, and Ben Platt returned alongside guests like Robert DeNiro, Martin Short, and even Reese Witherspoon.
The actors take over their characters like they hadn’t missed a beat and did a whole bit about COVID-19 regulations and guidelines while (mostly) keeping a straight face. It was amazing to see all of them together again and while it wasn’t an honest third “film” it did a great job.

However, as much fun as it was, they weren’t there for no reason. The cast helped to raise money for the World Central Kitchen, an organization working to safely distribute individually packaged, nutritious meals to those who need support. It was for a great cause and we got to see comedic legend Steve Martin and Martin Short once again, it’s been far too long!
Who knows though. Maybe this will bolster the possibility of us getting a third film in the series. What a treat it would be to see them close out a trilogy on this often forgotten about comedy series.
