NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal we’ll see another return to Salem before too long. Well, at least we’ll see the character on screen. So, who is this returning character? Days of Our Lives spoilers say it’s Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). Reports indicate we’ll see the mad scientist again on January 30th. Last time we see the qu—er, good doctor, he’d been sent out of town for his protection. Stefano DiMera (Nichols) made him a scapegoat to save Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) from being unmasked as Jennifer Horton’s (Melissa Reeves) attacker. However, we showed he’s got heart, and affection for his doctor of choice by sending him away. But is he connected to Stefano’s latest idea?

We recently learned that Stefano and Gina plan to fake the deaths of both John and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). The latest promo showed a couple of dramatic moments that will surely rock this couple. Check this one out for the details. It looks as though Stefano and Gina don’t give up without a fight. However, depending on how the John story plays out, this could have consequences for their partnership. We doubt Gina will take kindly to her John being harmed in any way. We think this trip “Steve” suggested is leading him right to where Dr. Rolf is hiding.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s Next?
We’re of pretty sure Stefano will enlist Rolf’s help in getting rid of John, so to speak. Again, he’s not supposed to kill John. He’s just making it look like he died. However, we have seen a huge flaw with this fake death thing, and their hopes of getting John and Marlena back: loyalty. There’s no way either one would turn to “Hope” (Alfonso) or “Steve”, even if they believed each other dead. There’s only one way we could see their plan having a prayer. They’ll need to do some serious mind control or alter memories to have a shot, and who better to accomplish this task than Rolf?
Of course, this plan has risks. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Rolf is a wanted man, and John is an accomplished spy. There’s every chance he’ll manage to get free before Rolf can do his thing, and there’s no way John will let this opportunity go. Can anyone really see Rolf overpowering John if things got physical? Yeah, we didn’t think so either. A John escape/Rolf capture would be the biggest disaster yet for Stefano and Gina, and the best thing that could happen to Salem. Will things play out this way?
