NBC ‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal what had happened to Vivian’s manservant, Ivan, I wondered if they had maybe parted on bad terms or that if something had happened to poor Ivan Marais (Ivan Splichal) (and who’s to say it didn’t, somewhere along the way), but today Ivan showed up out of the blue to rescue Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorrel) who was about to be sent down the river after, as she put it “crashing a wedding and attempting to kill the bride” in a non-chalant way that only Vivian can muster.
Of course Ivan was totally concerned about Vivian (if I remember correctly, those two had a romantic thing long ago and I always loved their chemistry but it looks like that is a thing of the past… dang.
I still ship it!), he was even more concerned when she told him that she had seen Stefan and that he was alive. He told her that the Salem PD could not legally deprive her of her medication. (Which begs the question, what type of medication is Viv on now? Did she come back wrong after being dead? PTSD after seeing the other side? What gives, eh?)

And then after a lot of phone calls and a trip to the Salem PD holding tank we find out that apparently when Vivian had Stefan she had twins (surprise, surprise!).
Ivan said that she delivered Stefan and then passed out but while she was passed out the doctor realized that she was still in labor. Does anybody remember Stefan’s birth? Was it one of those things that happened off-screen? Because I don’t but I was pretty sure that it happened sometime during the 90’s.
So now that Ivan has returned and given this load of information, it kind of begs the question, where has he been all this time? Did he know when Vivian bit the dust?
Is that why he was off in the Himalayas trying to forget? He said that he was a man of independant means now and that he was no one’s manservant anymore so I wonder how that came to be? There’s a lot of things about Ivan that are a mystery and inquiring minds want to know.
