NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal it’s wedding season in Salem. Elani kicked things off with their own ceremony this week. However, we’re not sure if this is a good thing. Let’s take a look at what went down, and what it says about the future.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Strike one

The first thing that left us unimpressed were never-ending interruptions. First, we had Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) nearly pass out in Julie’s Place just as Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was about to start the proceedings. Tamara insisted Lani keep to the plan, and she’d be fine. She just needed some food and rest. Lani was reluctant to marry without her mother there, but she agreed after some pushing.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Strike two

The other thing that bothered us about this wedding was Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). She didn’t even perform the ceremony, but she managed to take over the show. And bring it down. She ended up interrupting with a big rant about Gabi messing up their last attempt. The fact she couldn’t keep quiet and let this moment be totally about them is another strike in her favor for us and more evidence of the potential evil she possesses.

As if to prove that point—and add to the ridiculousness—there was Gabi. Now, we do admit we got a kick out of her mocking Julie’s “say her name three times and she appears” thing. But we thought the appearance was unnecessary and too silly/boring to be worth the effort. And this is coming from #TeamGabi. But it got worse.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: More delays

As though the writers were trying to make this wedding as much of a farce as possible, instead of getting down to business after Gabi left, Marlena let Julie read a poem. And then Lani had to give another speech to the few guests that had nothing to do with actually getting the show moving. You know, like they’d said they wanted to do. It felt like the writers wanted to build drama, but all they ended up doing was making everyone look ridiculous. However, there might be salvation ahead.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Try again…

After two days of pre-wedding primping and this never-ending parade of interruptions, we finally got an interruption worth it—Vivian Alamain (Lousie Sorel). She crashed the big event, despite all the doors getting locked after Gabi got tossed out. As she has a huge grudge against Lani, this should get good. It’d better. Because it would be the only thing that makes this particular wedding worth watching. Not a good sign for the others ahead.
