NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers reveal when we were all biting our nails down to the quick and screaming because we thought that ‘Days of Our Lives’ was going to be cancelled? Okay, maybe that was just me but a few months ago we weren’t too sure of the fate of the daytime sudser and were afraid we were going to lose one of daytime’s most iconic shows and therefore all our favorite characters but fortunately, the heavens have opened and the fates have smiled upon us and ‘Days Of Our Lives’ has been renewed for season 56!
We weren’t sure if this was going to happen, considering the chance they took with the time jump storyline. It’s never been done before by any soap and was really risky. Honestly, it could have gone either way, if it had not been masterfully executed then you would have seen one of the most colossal fails in daytime TV, but thanks to a team of expert writers who knew exactly what they were doing, we now have a well-executed time jump with a lot of twists and turns for us to explore.

There were some characters who didn’t survive the time jump, like poor Haley Chen (Theia Megia) and some characters who got the rough end of the stick, like Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), but they’re still alive and kicking. Although it’s hard to imagine that these guys are a whole entire year ahead of us when talking in Salem time, we have to remember that and its a bit jarring when you think about it because it’s already 2021 in Salem, isn’t that wild? Well, at least it is for me.
Considering the series has been picked up for another year, this is great news and we look forward to all the things that are going to happen in Salem in the year 2020 – I mean, 2021. Eh, whatever, now our only hope is that for the rest of the year that there are no more preemptions and that everyone in Salem lives happily ever after – okay that last part is a complete lie.
