NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Belle Black (Martha Madison) recently had a nightmare come true when her own sister brought a dangerous person back into her life.

Recently, this led to an encounter between Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Unfortunately, Belle made a huge mistake in how she handled the situation. Let’s take a look at what happened, how it could guide Claire’s actions, and whether or not Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) came help.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The return

Jan didn’t waste time. After Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) essentially bought Jan’s freedom from a mental hospital to win the custody case, Jan went out on the town. She flaunted her presence in front of Belle and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Jan even went to far as to ask Marlena to be her therapist. You can just imagine how that worked out. But it got worse.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Vital information

In a case of dropping the ball, Belle apparently didn’t fill Claire in on Jan’s return. Claire, in fact, had no idea the “friend” of her mother’s was the Jan that caused all that chaos. Because of this, they had a chance to talk in private, and Claire quickly connected with Jan and their “similar” plights. And yes, we have that in quotes for a reason.

This is where Belle messed up badly. She caught Jan and Claire together, which obviously freaked her out. Belle made it clear Jan is not to come anywhere near Claire or the rest of her family again. However, Belle’s emotions caused her to say a lot of stuff that triggered Claire.

As a former pyro who tried to kill her own aunt, she really bought into Jan’s talk about wanting to make amends. By leading with emotions instead of facts, she put Claire on the defensive. And made her more likely to spend time with Jan.

First, she should have made it clear that Jan’s actions were only a couple of months ago. Not nearly as long a recovery period as Claire had. Plus, she neglected to mention that Jan only got out because of Sami’s money and influence. However, there’s hope to set this right.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Mom to the rescue?

Since Belle sort of botched this situation, Marlena might have to step in. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal she and Claire will have a talk about this situation. We’re hopeful Marlena will fill in those blanks and make Claire understand the differences between her situation and Jan’s.

Because if she can’t, we see Claire about to backslide, big time. There’s no good that can come of her and Jan spending time together, and we think that’s Jan’s point.
