My 600-Lb Life: June’s Weight Loss Story
June wasn’t shy about sharing her story and why she turned to food. Her son tragically did and that is when she started to cope with her grief with food. When she first met with Dr. Now, she weighed 590 pounds and was 46 years old. She felt like she was a prisoner in her own body. June couldn’t leave her home nor could she walk. Her girlfriend, Mary had to take care of her and even bathe her because of her weight.

All of June’s weight issues were caused by overeating and it all started with her grandmother. She told the cameras that her grandmother was an incredible cook, but also she had four children so that didn’t help matters at all. After her son died, she turned to food even more and this caused her obesity.
While she was on the show, she ended up getting her weight below 300 pounds and she did a follow-up episode to reveal that she weighed 221 pounds! She told fans of the show that she was working on keeping her weight down and was going to therapy regularly to finally take time to grieve for her son. It looks as if she did marry her girlfriend and she did get approved to have skin removal surgery.
June is now running a business of her own called CreationsByMz and she has told her fans that she can now wear a size 16 dress. She posts frequently on her Instagram account and has told fans that she is blessed and lives every day with joy and gratitude! From the looks of her photos, she has kept the weight off and she looks happier than ever! She captioned one of her most recent photos, “God’s journey is ongoing.”
