The news sent shockwaves across the world, given that there have been questions over whether the medical response was good enough. As such, there will always be suggestions that lives could have been saved if things were done differently.
Having said that, though, Master P believes that such a thing cannot always be foreseen. And yet, he did state that things could have been done differently.
During an interview with TMZ, he said: “It’s just a freak accident. To me, the barricades [were] a little smaller. Then you got younger kids, you know, they coming there just to turn up.
“I feel like it could have had a lot more police inside than they had outside.” Nevertheless, not everyone has been kind to Travis.
Many fans have begun to circulate Travis’ previous posts on social media, which suggest that he may encourage his fans to party hard.
Although there is nothing wrong with having a good time, the implication is that safety protocols were being ignored in favour of ‘entertainment.’
In a post on Twitter, one user remarked: “Yeah, imma need Travis Scott stans to stop defending him and saying “it’s not his fault.”
“He greenlights this behaviour and always tells his fans to ignore security and climb the barricades. That ngga takes part of the blame for what happened tonight, idc.”
With there being so many emotions coming out following this incident, Master P felt that it was only right to offer his support to those who had suffered. In this way, it would draw attention away from blaming people but instead look to unite them.
His following comments confirmed as much: “My condolences go out to the ones that lost their lives and to their families.” This event has the danger of becoming politicised with a bigger focus on having someone blamed.
The best solution would be to find out the root cause and take steps to prevent this from ever happening again.
