Miley Cyrus has revealed her new addition to the family in the form of a new dog called Angel. The singer has had a history of keeping dogs, and this is the latest in the long line of previous pets following the death of her previous dog, Mary Jane.
Miley Cyrus Introduces Her New Pet Dog Called Angel
In a post to her fans on Instagram, she put a picture of the pitbull alongside her, and it was captioned with the following comments: “Almost two months ago my best friend, a rescued pit mix Mary Jane, left this world. I knew she wasn’t gone for good. She had outlived the body she was in, but she never said goodbye with her eyes, she whispered. See you soon, Bestie.
“Mary Jane defined loyalty and would never break a promise. I feel her here with me blessing this new member to my family who’s name is “Angel” because she was delivered to me by one… My Mary. It breaks my heart to know Angel was sleeping on concrete in a shelter for three months before finally making it home.”
Miley is fully aware of the heartbreak associated with losing a loved pet, given that her previous dog Mary Jane was diagnosed with cancer at the time. She had no option but to have the dog put down, given that all other avenues had been exhausted. She previously said:
“I was told it’d be an uncertain amount of time until she’s gone. Advised to spend every second savouring her special spirit, which wasn’t anything new. I had been for ten years.” And following the sad passing, Miley found it hard to keep herself together. Nevertheless, it did not stop her from reminiscing about the good times she experienced with Mary Jane. In an emotional tribute at the time, she told her fans:
“MJ was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago …. & since then multiple types and tumours. I was told it’d be an uncertain amount of time until she’s gone. Advised to spend every second savouring anything new. I had been for ten years.” Let us hope Miley can continue to make new memories that will last a lifetime.
